This was an email from a happy customer who struggled to test their pet's blood sugar levels until now.
Just writing to let you know we are very pleased with your Genteel Lancing Device. My daughters dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes and it has been a big learning curve for her. Her dog, Stitch, was not bothered about the insulin injections but was extremely unhappy with the blood sugar levels being taken from his ears. It got to the stage where he snapped at Jess, something he has never done before and he became frightened of us touching his head or ears. It was so stressful and we were at our wits end until we found your site.
It took a bit of experimenting to get a good drop of blood as the areas we tried (on his hip and base of tail) just didn't produce enough blood (obviously his skin is just a bit too thick even using the purple contact head). We were worried we had wasted our money. In desperation and with much trepidation we tried his ears with the Genteel and found it worked perfectly!
The first couple of times he jumped at the sound of the lancet going off but after that he was fine. Yesterday we had to do his blood sugar curve which involved taking his blood sugar every hour for 12 hours.
He behaved like a dream and was quite happy to follow us out to get tested, at no time was he stressed or in pain.
Once again thank you for this wonderful device, it's made a world of difference to our dog.
